課文中的句子“Wow, your roommates are cleaning the room”中出現(xiàn)的語法現(xiàn)象是現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)。現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)由be的現(xiàn)在式(am/ is/ are)+動(dòng)詞現(xiàn)在分詞構(gòu)成，表示動(dòng)作正在進(jìn)行，同時(shí)也表示動(dòng)作的持續(xù)性。
(1)表示此刻正在進(jìn)行或發(fā)生的動(dòng)作
可以與時(shí)間狀語now, at the moment等連用，也可不用時(shí)間狀語，如：
He is writing a love letter to his wife now. 他正在給妻子寫情書。
The workers are building a new swimming pool. 工人們正在建一個(gè)新的游泳池。

The athletes are arriving in Beijing tomorrow. 運(yùn)動(dòng)員于明早到達(dá)北京。

(3)表示不斷重復(fù)的動(dòng)作
常和always, forever, repeatedly 等頻度副詞連用。
May is always helping others. 阿美經(jīng)常幫助別人。
They are seeking after truth forever. 他們永遠(yuǎn)追求真理。
