過去正在進行時一般要有能表達過去時間的狀語從句。例如：

Yesterday evening.

昨天晚上。

At noon last Sunday.

上一星期天中午。

Last Saturday evening.

上一星期六的晚上。

【What is the youngest person in your class?】

What is the youngest person in your class?你們班誰最年青？

最高級形式要有冠詞the ,一般形容詞的最高級形式是在原形后面加est.多音節的形容詞則在前面加一單詞，most.例如：

He is the tallest in the class.

他是全班學生中最高的。

This is the most popular piece of music at the moment?

這是一曲目前最流行的音樂。

【Science is not so popular as Chinese.】

Science is not so popular as Chinese.科學沒有漢語流行。

Not so …as 表示“同…不一樣…”，as…as 表示“同…一樣”。例如：

This book is not so cheap as that one.

這本書不比那本書便宜。

Our classroom is as large as their classroom.

我們的教室與他們的教室一樣大。

When she got to the shop,she bought all the things on the list.當她來到了商店的時候，她就照著紙條買東西。

When引導出一個時間狀語從句，表示“當…時候”。例如：

When I got home yesterday evening,it was eleven o’clock.

昨晚我回家的時候，已是十一點鐘了。

Please turn off the light when you leave the classroom.

離開教室的時候，請把燈關掉。

What have you done with the library book?你拿圖書館的書干什么？

with 表示“使用…”，“運用…”,在句中作狀語。例如：

What have you done with the bike?

你用自行車干什么？

What have you done with the pen?

你拿鋼筆干什么？
