在元旦前日(New Year’s Eve) 指西歷(Western Calendar) 12月31日至元旦的各種活動。近年來流行于此時進行節日倒數(countdown)，以慶祝(celebrate)新的一年的來臨。此外，很多大城市于元旦前日的午夜(midnight)設有大型煙花(fireworks)匯演作為慶祝。
當然，美國的紐約時代廣場(Times Square)一直都會在元旦倒數時舉行“降球儀式”，并向整個美國進行廣播，成為美國慶祝元旦前夜的一個主要的傳統儀式。熱鬧非凡~
而咱們呢，就是各大衛視的跨年晚會輪番轟炸，話說，童鞋們想好看哪個臺了不?
“跨年晚會”我們可以用:

2.Countdown Party (因為要聚在一起倒數嘛)
