用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)數(shù)字，無(wú)論是對(duì)學(xué)生還是聽者來說都容易令人困惑。遵循以下這些規(guī)則，你可以準(zhǔn)確地用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)數(shù)字。

雖然數(shù)字是英語(yǔ)入門階段學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容，但不同場(chǎng)景下的數(shù)字表達(dá)還是頗有難度，寫起來容易，讀起來難，一起來看看下面幾種情況：

一般來說，大于二十的數(shù)在書面英語(yǔ)中應(yīng)該用數(shù)字表示：

I have fifteen clients in New York.

我在紐約有十五個(gè)客戶。

She has 240 contacts on her mailing list.

她的郵件列表上有240個(gè)聯(lián)系人。

至于讀法，通常一到二十之間，我們讀單個(gè)的數(shù)字;二十往后，使用十位數(shù)(二十，三十等)，后接數(shù)字一到九：

7：seven

19：nineteen

32：thirty-two

89：eighty-nine

當(dāng)表達(dá)大數(shù)字時(shí)(超過一百)，以“百”為單位來讀。順序如下：billion, million, thousand, hundred。

請(qǐng)注意，hundred和thousand等詞后面不加“s”，即兩百是two hundred，不是two hundreds

百位數(shù)的讀法

讀百位數(shù)以一到九開始，后接“hundred”，以末尾的兩位數(shù)結(jié)束：

350： three hundred fifty

425： four hundred twenty-five

873：eight hundred seventy-three

112：one hundred twelve

注意：英式英語(yǔ)會(huì)在“hunderd”后加上“and”，美式英語(yǔ)則省略“and”。

千位數(shù)的讀法

先讀出999以內(nèi)的數(shù)字，后面緊接“thousand”，必要時(shí)，以百位數(shù)來結(jié)束。

15,560：fifteen thousand five hundred sixty

786,450：seven hundred six thousand four hundred fifty

342,713：three hundred forty-two thousand seven hundred thirteen

百萬(wàn)位數(shù)的讀法

對(duì)于百萬(wàn)位的數(shù)，先讀出999以內(nèi)的數(shù)字，后面緊接“million”;有需要時(shí)，先讀千位數(shù)，再以百位數(shù)來結(jié)束。

2,450,000：two million four hundred fifty thousand

27,805,234：twenty seven million eight hundred five thousands two hundred thirty-four

934,700,000 ：nine hundred thirty-four million seven hundred thousand

589,432,420：five hundred eighty nine million four hundred thirty-two thousand four hundred twenty

對(duì)于更大的數(shù)字，以同樣的方式從大單位向小單位過渡。

23,870,550,000：twenty-three billion eight hundred seventy million five hundred fifty thousand

12,600,450,345,000：twelve trillion(萬(wàn)億) six hundred billion four hundred fifty million three hundred forty-five thousand

數(shù)字太大的話，末尾數(shù)往往被四舍五入到下一位最大或最小的整數(shù)，這樣就使讀數(shù)變得更容易，例如：345987650被舍入到350000000。
