The prolonged extreme weather has baked many regions in the country since July, with the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shandong and Shaanxi provinces and Chongqing municipality reporting the highest number of weather-related deaths.

自七月份以來我國的許多地區都出現了持續的極端炎熱天氣，內蒙古自治區、山東省、陜西省和重慶市成為高溫死亡報告最多的地區。

在上面的報道中，weather-related deaths指的是由極端天氣導致的死亡，在上文語境中指的是“高溫死亡”，也可以用heat death來表示。高溫死亡的人死于heatstroke(中暑)，如果是受陽光直接暴曬引起的中暑，可以用sunstroke來表示。

今年夏天北京出現連續多日的sauna weather(桑拿天)，在這種高溫天氣下，群眾最關心的問題之一就是high temperature subsidy(防暑降溫補貼)是否及時發放。同時多起高溫死亡事件也暴露出我國heat law(高溫保護法規)方面的滯后。
