The Chinese government on Wednesday stressed the importance for the country to step up efforts to develop emerging industries of strategic importance。

我國政府本周三強調(diào)了逐步推進發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略性新興產(chǎn)業(yè)的重要性。

文中的emerging industries of strategic importance就是指“戰(zhàn)略性新興產(chǎn)業(yè)”，emerging表示“新興的”，類似的表達方式還有emerging market(新興市場)、emerging technology(新興技術(shù))。Emerging industry(新興工業(yè))也稱為“朝陽產(chǎn)業(yè)”，因此也可以說成是sunrise industry。

另外，burgeoning也常用來形容“萌芽的、新興的”，而start-up則指新企業(yè)或工程“開辦階段的，啟動時期的”。

此次確定的七大行業(yè)分別為energy saving and environmental protection(節(jié)能環(huán)保)、 new generation of information technology(新一代信息技術(shù))、biology(生物產(chǎn)業(yè))、 high-end equipment manufacturing(高端裝備制造)、 new energy(新能源)、 new material(新材料)、 new energy vehicles(新能源汽車)。
