海之戀

約翰·梅斯菲爾德(1878—1967)，英國詩人。主要作品有詩集《鹽水謠》，長詩《永恒的寬恕》及歷險小說《徒勞》等。英國詩人。14歲當水手，后自學成為記者，1930年被授予英國第22屆“桂冠詩人”稱號。

《海之戀》是約翰·梅斯菲爾德最著名的詩，由此，他被譽為“大海的詩人”。他在詩中表達了他從塵囂中回歸大海，回歸大自然的豁達之情。而這種回歸大自然并非宿命的避世，而是迎戰前的稍息，因為他“還要在海霧蒙蒙時出航”，“好感受破曉時分的朦朧紫光”。在詩中還表達了他向往自由，要“像吉普賽人一樣享受一次流浪”，要“像海鷗搏擊長空，巨鯨嬉戲大洋”。正如現代人，不再為了傳統的“根”，而據守故里。只要你不怕流浪，愿意奮斗終生，終將無怨無憾。
