智慧書簡介：

Common in nothing

要標新立異，超凡脫俗

First， not in taste.

首先，在品味興趣上要標新立異。

O great and wise, to be ill at ease when your deeds please the mob!

偉大睿智的人啊，當你的言行取悅了大眾，不要為自己的厭惡所困擾!

The excesses of popular applause never satisfy the sensible.

蕓蕓眾生的掌聲再多，也無法滿足賢者的欲求。

There are such chameleons of popularity that they find enjoyment not in the sweet savours of Apollo but in the breath of the mob.

總有很多庸俗低級的人，寧愿舍棄聆聽真言的機會，而去追逐塵世間的俗情。

Secondly, not in intelligence.

其次，在智慧見識上要標新立異。

Take no pleasure in the wonder of the mob, for ignorance never gets beyond wonder.

別被世俗的奇跡所打動，因為所謂的奇跡，只不過是無知的代名詞。

While vulgar folly wonders, wisdom watches for the trick.

當愚蠢的大眾為奇跡歡呼時，有大智慧的人總會冷眼旁觀，像在觀賞著鬧劇。
