Wealth,Success&Love財(cái)富，成功和愛(ài)

A woman came out of her house and saw three old men

with long white beards sitting in her front yard.

She did not recognize them.

一個(gè)婦人出門看到3位白須飄然的老者坐在她家前院。婦人與他們素不相識(shí)。

She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry.

Please come in and have something to eat."

她上前同他們打招呼：“你們一定餓了，進(jìn)屋吃點(diǎn)東西吧?”

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

“你們家男主人在嗎?”老人們問(wèn)。

婦人回答： “他出去了。”

“他不在，我們就不進(jìn)去。”老人們回答。

In the evening when her husband came home,

she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

晚上，丈夫回家了，婦人將遇到的事告訴了他。

“快去告訴他們我回來(lái)了，請(qǐng)他們進(jìn)來(lái)!”

The woman went out and invited the men in.

"We do not go into a house together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

于是婦人出去邀老人們進(jìn)屋。

“我們不能一同進(jìn)屋。”老人們說(shuō)。

“那是為什么?”婦人感到疑惑。

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth,"

he said pointing to one of his friends,

and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love."

一個(gè)老人指著一個(gè)同伴說(shuō)：“他名叫財(cái)富。”

指向另一個(gè)同伴說(shuō)：“他叫成功，我是愛(ài)。”

Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband

which one of us you want in your home."

他接著說(shuō)：“你現(xiàn)在進(jìn)去和丈夫商量，看你們家需要我們中哪一個(gè)。”

The woman went in and told her husband what was said.

Her husband was overjoyed.

"How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth.

Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

婦人把老人的話告訴丈夫。丈夫十分驚喜，

說(shuō)：“既然如此，我們就邀請(qǐng)財(cái)富老人吧，讓他進(jìn)來(lái)，把我們的房子裝滿財(cái)富! ”

妻子不同意，說(shuō)：“親愛(ài)的，為什么不邀請(qǐng)成功呢?”

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house.

She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love?
