交通工具前的介詞
■如果談?wù)撏獬雎眯校瑹o(wú)論是乘公共汽車、飛機(jī)和火車,還是騎自行車、摩托車或者騎馬,都可以用on(和off)。如:
It’s a ten-minute ride on the bus. 乘公共汽車要用10分鐘。
We’re booked on flight 604. 我們訂的是604航班的票。
There’s no room on the bus;let’s get off again. 車上沒(méi)地方了;咱們下去吧。
It took five days to cross the Atlantic on the Queen Elizabeth. 乘伊麗莎自女王號(hào)花了5天時(shí)間橫渡大西洋。
注意:
他坐3點(diǎn)1刻的火車來(lái)。
正:He’s arriving on the 3. 15 train.
誤:He’s arriving in / with the 3. 15 train.
■但如果涉及私人的汽車、飛機(jī)或小船,則用 in 和 out (of)。如:
Jump in and I’ll drive you to the station. 上車吧,我送你到車站去。
He fell into the river when he was getting out of his canoe. 他就在從皮劃艇上來(lái)的時(shí)候,掉到河里去了。
I was so tightly wedged between two other passengers; I couldn’t get off the bus. 我緊緊夾在兩個(gè)乘客中間下不了公共汽車了。
