表示在某節(jié)日和周末用何介詞
■談到圣誕節(jié)、新年、復(fù)活節(jié)和感恩節(jié),如指整個(gè)節(jié)日,就用at。如:
We often go carolling at Christmas. 我們?cè)谑フQ節(jié)常去唱頌歌。
We’re having the roof repaired at Easter. 我們要在復(fù)活節(jié)期間找人把房頂修一修。
Some children make lanterns out of pumpkins at Hallowe’en. 有些兒童在萬(wàn)圣節(jié)前夕用南瓜做燈籠。
■但如果指節(jié)日中的某一天,就用on。如:
Come and see us on Christmas Day. 圣誕節(jié)那一天來(lái)玩兒吧。
What are you doing on Easter Monday? 復(fù)活節(jié)第二天你干什么?
■表示周末時(shí),英國(guó)人說(shuō)at the weekend,而美國(guó)人則說(shuō)on the weekend。如:
What did you do at the weekend? 你周末干什么了?
He likes to go climbing at weekends. 他喜歡在周末做登山運(yùn)動(dòng)。
They like to go ballooning at weekends. 他們周末喜歡乘氣球玩。
■當(dāng)然,若強(qiáng)調(diào)是在整個(gè)期間,也可用during等。如:
Five thousand people were flown to Paris during the Easter weekend. 在復(fù)活節(jié)的周末有五千人乘飛機(jī)去巴黎。
