1. 復(fù)合主語是指兩個或兩個以上主語由連接詞連接，這時動詞的單復(fù)數(shù)形式要根據(jù)具體情況而定。

2. neither...nor, either...or, not only...but also, or, nor等連接主語時,述語動詞由最近的主語決定。

Not only you but also I am hungry.

不僅你餓，我也餓。

But neither you nor I have much money.

但你沒錢，我也沒錢。

Either you or I am crazy.

不是你就是我瘋了。

Neither I nor you nor Tom is going.

你,我和湯姆都將不走。

Neither I nor Tom nor you are going.

我,湯姆和你都將不走。

Neither you nor Tom nor I am going.

你,湯姆和我都將不走。

Either you or he is able to do such work alone.

你和他都能夠獨自做這樣的工作。

Not only the students but also their teacher likes music.

不但學(xué)生,他們的老師也喜愛音樂。

3. both...and連接主語時,述語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。

Since both you and I are hungry, let’s go in and have something to eat.

既然你和我都餓了，咱們進去吃些東西。

Both English and Japanese are difficult.

英語和日語都是難的。

4. 兩個或多個主語由with, together with, except, in addition to, but, including等連接時,述語動詞一般要與這些介系詞或片語介系詞前面的主語保持一致。

Tomato soup together with onion and garlic is my favorite.

番茄湯加洋蔥大蒜是我的最愛。

Nobody but you likes tomato soup.

除了你沒人喜歡番茄湯。

The driver together with his children is in the car.

司機和他的孩子們在車里。

Nobody except your parents speaks French here.
