序數詞

1.序數詞的構成

(1)一般在基數詞后加th, eg.four→fourth,thirteen→thirteenth,多位數把個位變序數詞。

基數詞變為序數詞的規則(口訣)：

基變序，有規律，詞尾加上 th;一、二、三特殊記，結尾t、d、d。

八減t，九減e，f要把ve替。ty把y改為i，記得th前有個e。

2.序數詞的用法

(1.)the+序數詞，表示“第幾”

John lives on the fifteenth floor

(2).aan+序數詞，表達"再一,又一"

eg.We’ll have to do it a second time.

(3)年月日的表達

年用基數詞表示，日用序數詞表示

(4)分數的表達

分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞。分子大于1，分母加-s。

(5)序數詞也可以用作副詞，

(6)基數詞也能表示順序，如書刊的頁的數目，住所、房間、教室、電話號碼等等。

(7).倍數表示法

主語+謂語+倍數(或分數)+ as + adj. + as I have three times as many as you.

英語上數詞分為兩大類：基數詞和序數詞

意義:序數詞是指表示順序的數詞。

序數詞其主要形式：

(1)從第一至第十二：one— first two— second three— third four-fourth

five— fifth six— sixth seven— seventh eight—eighth nine—ninth

ten— tenth eleven— eleventh twelve— twelfth

大多的序數詞都是由其相對應的基數詞后面添加“th”構成。

(2)從第二十至第九十九 整數第幾十的形式由其對應的基數詞改變結尾字母y為ie，再加“th”構成。 twenty——twentieth thirty——thirtieth

表示第幾十幾時，用幾十的基數詞形式加上連字符“-”和個位序數詞形式一起表示。 thirty-first 第三十一 fifty-sixth 第五十六 seventy-third 第七十三 ninety-ninth 第九十九

第一百以上的多位序數詞

由基數詞的形式變結尾部分為序數詞形式來表示。

one hundred and twenty-first 第一百二十一 one thousand，three hundred and twentieth 第一千三百二十

序數詞的縮寫

序數詞的縮寫形式 有時，序數詞可以用縮寫形式來表示。主要縮寫形式有。

first—lst second—2nd third—3rd fourth—4th sixth—6th twentieth—20th

twenty-third——23rd 其中lst，2nd，3rd為特殊形式，其它的都是阿拉伯數字后加上th。

序數詞的句法功能

序數詞在句中可作主語、賓語、定語和表語。

The second is what I really need. 第二個是我真正需要的。(作主語)

He choose the second. 他挑選了第二個。(作賓語)

We are to carry out the first plan. 我們將執行第一個計劃。(作定語) She is the second in our class.在我們班她是第二名。(作表語)

注：序數詞在使用時，通常前面要加定冠詞 the;但是如果序數詞前出現不定冠詞a或an時，則表示“再——”，“又——”。

We’ll go over it a second time. 我們得再念第二遍。
