The country’s top administration for press and publication has stressed the protection of reporters’ rights in newsgathering, following a string of suspected attacks against journalists who exposed scandals.

因不斷有記者在進行揭露性報道后遭到可疑攻擊，中國新聞出版總署再次強調(diào)要保護記者的新聞采訪權。

文中的rights in newsgathering就是指“采訪權”。這里的newsgathering就是指“新聞采訪”，相關的行為也就是newsgathering activities。新聞出版總署表示，新聞機構對issues related to national and public interests(涉及國家利益、公共利益的事件)有right to know, interview, publish, criticize and supervise(知情權、采訪權、發(fā)表權、批評權、監(jiān)督權)。

在看警匪片時，通緝令上常貼著一幅罪犯頭像，旁邊扣著一個大大的wanted。仇子明因為刊發(fā)了negative report(負面報道)而在這起事件中遭到全國網(wǎng)上通緝，這里的“通緝”也是用wanted來表示。公安機關為了盡快抓住逃犯常把通緝信息掛在網(wǎng)上，這份“網(wǎng)絡通緝名單”就稱為national online list of criminals wanted。
