*“網紅”一詞的翻譯，像Internet star/online star/Internet celebrity/web celebrity 都是可以的，在外網中，針對視頻達人等以原創為特色的網紅還有專門的self-made celebrity可用，所以像web red這種翻譯，一笑而過就好啦……

正方：“網紅”現象可以傳遞正能量!

1.“papi的視頻都是原創，值得看”

Some say people want money from popularity, but focusing on how Internet stars make money isbeside the point. It’s their creativity that helps them gain much attention and love, also exactly what’s inspiring.

有人說人們出名是為了錢，但是只關注網紅們如何圈錢就有點偏題了。是創新意識幫助他們獲得了諸多喜愛，又激勵了其他人。

Tips：

1)some say是some people say的簡寫，口語中常用來表示一種寬泛的引用。

2)beside the point意為偏題，沒在重點上。

現在微信似乎代替了短信，成為人與人之間交流最常用的工具了吧?然而，微信有時候真的很煩人!

2.“老公三觀最正，我愛老公”

It’s not news that a single move of an Internet celebrity could make people talk. Most people get a good impression on those who behave positively, and no harm will be done to both sides.

網紅的某個小舉動就可以引起人們評頭論足，這早就不是新鮮事兒了。大多數人會對舉止積極向上的網紅們有較好的印象，這對雙方來講都是無害的。

Tips：

1)it’s not news 不是新聞，也可以引申為“不是新鮮事”。比較常用的肯定用法是it’s news to me 表示我這才知道，對我來說是新聞。

2)no harm will be done 不會造成什么傷害，表示不是壞事。

3.“老公都轉發了，肯定是大事兒”

For Internet stars, one click can make a difference. If they show their concern for the unsettled social issues, they may be no longer unsettled soon.

對于網紅來說，輕輕一點鼠標都可以造成重要影響。如果他們可以更多的關注未解決的社會問題，那么也許這些問題很快就可以得到解決。

Tips：

1)make a difference表示有影響，通常指有重要的影響。

2)be…no longer指不再處于先前的某種狀態，含義相當于not anymore/not any longer

反方：“網紅”現象正在成為一種消極趨勢!

1.“小馬甲說好，那絕對差不了。”

I admit that Internet stars can be upright, but the truth is many of them are using their credibility to make money. Their promises on the products come out of nowhere.

我承認有些網紅很正直，但事實上許多網紅都在依靠他們的信譽賺錢。他們對于產品質量的保證是毫無根據的。

Tips：

1)upright是正直，耿直的意思。

2)out of nowhere原意是不知從哪冒出來/不知怎么的(常與come搭配)例如：

Papi got popular out of nowhere.

papi醬不知怎么的就紅了。

The cat that scratched me came out of nowhere.

那只抓了我的貓不知是從哪冒出來的。

2.“八國混血這么作，必須罵”

For some reason, people like Vincent Liu tried every way to get attention. The point is not everyone understands it’s better just leave them alone.

出于某種原因，像劉梓晨這樣的人想法設法的博關注。重點在于，并不是所有人都明白對這種人還是置之不理比較好。

Tips：

1)for some reason 不知為何，出于某種原因，含義相當于somehow。要注意reason用單數就好。

2)leave sb alone 通常指不煩擾、不干涉某人。這里引申為不理。

3.“papi的真名實在不怎么好聽，老公也不怎么帥啊”

You see, once they’re no longer invisible, everything about them is all over the internet. The stress of being famous is usually beyond expectation.

你要知道，一旦他們不再是透明人了，有關他們的一切都會遍布網絡。出名的壓力通常是超出預料的。

Tips：

1)you see 你瞧，你要知道，一般用來突出自己重點要講的話

2)beyond expectation是超出預期，沒有預料到的意思。

3)all over到處都是。常常含有火爆的意思。例如：

Papi was all over the news after she got a great deal of financing money.

papi醬在得到巨額融資之后登上了各大新聞。
