Highway toll fees will be made more affordable nationwide, as the Ministry of Transport will gradually introduce a stable and cheap charging system。

交通部將逐步建立一個穩(wěn)定的、低標準的收費系統(tǒng)，讓全國范圍內的高速公路收費更合理。

在上面的報道中，highway toll fees就是“高速公路通行費”，簡稱“高速費”。征收高速費是為了籌集資金修建道路，toll指的是“(道路、橋梁的)通行費”，toll road就是“收費道路”。近日，河南爆出的exorbitant road toll fees(天價過路費)一案引起了網(wǎng)民的熱議。

交通部計劃建立兩個公路系統(tǒng)，一個是toll-road system(收費公路系統(tǒng))，包括expressways(快速道)和 backbone national highways(國道主干道)，另一個是free-of-charge road system(免費公路系統(tǒng))。另外，交通部還將逐步取消second-class highways(二級公路)的收費。
