最近，隨著《延禧攻略》和《如懿傳》的先后熱播，白月光一詞頻頻進入我們的視線。

秦嵐演的富察皇后溫婉端莊，圈粉無數觀眾，讓人感慨這樣的人才當得起乾隆皇帝念念不忘一生的人。

無獨有偶，《如懿傳》講的也是乾隆時期的后宮，只不過這次青梅竹馬的真愛變成了如懿——第二任皇后烏拉那拉氏。

到底誰才是白月光呢?

白月光一詞出自張愛玲的《紅玫瑰與白玫瑰》：

也許每一個男子全都有過這樣的兩個女人，至少兩個。

娶了紅玫瑰，久而久之，紅的變了墻上的一抹蚊子血，白的還是“床前明月光”;娶了白玫瑰，白的便是衣服上的一粒飯粘子，紅的卻是心口上的一顆朱砂痣。

如今，更多地用來指可望不可即的人，如月光一樣溫柔皎潔，卻觸碰不到，也可以指帶給自己內心深處柔軟明媚的人，或者是身邊的人，或者是劇中或書中的人。

用英文表述可以說成white moonlight或者shining moonlight，如果想表達可望不可即，可以用elusive (beauty) 或out of reach。

白月光除了可望不可即，更重要的是讓人念念不忘，我們可以用unforgettable來表示，還可以用bear in mind; be always preoccupied with ...; be kept always in mind and unforgotten。

張愛玲的那句話可以譯作：

Every man may have two or at least two women in his life, the gorgeous one like a red rose and the plain one like a white rose. If he marries the red rose, she will be a touch of mosquito blood in the course of time while the white rose will remain shining moonlight. If he marries the white rose, she will be the leavings sticky on clothes while the red rose will be a vermilion birthmark in his heart.
