引導(dǎo)地點狀語從句，表示“在……的任何(所有)地方”，與where, anywhere, everywhere 用法相似。如：

You can sit wherever you like. 你喜歡坐哪兒都可以。

You can’t camp wherever [where, anywhere] you like these days. 如今你可不能隨便在哪兒宿營。

■引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句

引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，表示“不管在(到)哪里”，相當于no matter where。如：

Wherever he goes, I’ll go. 不管他去哪里，我也去。

Wherever you find high wages, you will generally find high prices. 哪里有高工資，哪里一般就有高物價。

Being recognized wherever you go is the price you pay for being famous. 出名所付出的代價是不管你走到哪里，都會被人認出來。

從句謂語有時可以用“may+動詞原形”代替一般現(xiàn)在時。如：

I’ll find him, wherever he is [may be]. 無論他在哪里，我都要找到他。

下面一句中的wherever possible 與 whenever possible 同義：
