An ancient Hebrew text says," Love is as strong as death." It seems that not everyone experiences this kind of strong love. The increase in poverty, crime and war tells us that the world is in desperate need of true love. But what is true love? Love is something we all need but how do we know when we’ve experienced it? True love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love.

古希伯來(lái)語(yǔ)中有這么一句話：“愛(ài)如死般堅(jiān)強(qiáng)?！憋@然不是每個(gè)人都能體驗(yàn)到如此濃烈的深愛(ài)，在我們的生存之地，貧窮在擴(kuò)散，罪惡在曼延，戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)在涂炭生靈。這一切都表明，世界迫切需要真愛(ài)。但到底什么才是真愛(ài)呢? 人們渴求愛(ài)，但我們?cè)鯓硬趴梢源_信我們體驗(yàn)到了它的存在呢?真愛(ài)應(yīng)該是一種奉獻(xiàn)精神，是一種勝過(guò)言語(yǔ)的奉獻(xiàn)行為，而不是僅僅建筑在我們感覺(jué)上的一種激情。愛(ài)當(dāng)然離不開(kāi)激情，但那絕不是我們衡量愛(ài)的唯一標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。

True love is when you care enough about another person that you would lay down your life for them. When this happens, then love true is "as strong as death". How many of you have a mother or father, husband or wife,son or daughter or friend who would sacrifice his or her own life for yours? Those of you who true love your spouse and children would unselfishly lay your life on the line to save them from death. Many people, in emergency rooms with their loved ones have prayed, "please God, take me instead of them." Find true love, and be a true lover as well. May you find the love which is not only stronger than death but which leads to a truly fulfilling life.

真愛(ài)到來(lái)時(shí)，你可以為心愛(ài)的人舍棄生命，為之而死。愛(ài)到如此壯烈才稱得上是“愛(ài)如死般堅(jiān)強(qiáng)”啊!我們當(dāng)中有多少人的父母，丈夫或妻子，兒子或女兒，朋友愿意為愛(ài)人犧牲自己的生命?只有深切關(guān)愛(ài)家人和孩子的人們，才會(huì)毫不猶豫地舍棄自己的生命，以挽救在死亡線上掙扎的親人。我們當(dāng)中又有多少人在愛(ài)人垂死的病榻前同心祈禱：“上帝啊，用我的生命換回他們吧!” 尋求真愛(ài)，同時(shí)也成為真心的愛(ài)人吧!祝你的真愛(ài)不僅“愛(ài)如死般堅(jiān)強(qiáng)”，而且更能為你指引一條充滿真愛(ài)的人生之路。
